4 Star En-suite Bed & Breakfast, Canterbury, Kent
Make use of free parking in our private gated car park at the rear of Harriet House Bed and Breakfast, giving the option of exploring the ancient city of Canterbury on foot. A short 10-15 minute walk along the picturesque River Stour will take you to the city centre with all its attractions, shops and amenities.
All guests are provided with their own keys so you are welcome to come and go as you please for the duration of your stay.
Harriet House Bed and Breakfast is a non smoking establishment but we have provided seats in our garden for those that wish to smoke.
Try our delicious cooked English breakfast or lighter and seasonal options. We are happy to cater for vegetarians and special diets. Ingredients are sourced from a local award winning butcher and our eggs are free range direct from a local farm. Breakfast is cooked and served to order in our sunny breakfast room and conservatory.
Harriet House Bed & Breakfast is officially graded by VisitEngland as 4 star silver guest accommodation. We are a small bed & breakfast establishment.

Double Room
Situated on the ground floor our double room is perfect for those who love a bright, sunny room. Fitted with stylish Plantation Shutters you can take advantage of those beautiful sunny mornings or choose to snuggle in for a few more hours.
The room is cosy and comfortable, equipped with everything you need for a great stay. Good storage space, a TV, combination safe, hairdryer, a Nespresso Coffee maker, kettle and fridge along with complimentary tea, coffee, chocolate and biscuits. With a shower room en-suite, equipped with a variety of toiletries we try to think of everything! If stairs are a challenge, this room is for you.
Twin Room
Our twin room, located on the first floor has 2 super comfortable single beds positioned side by side. A bright and sunny room, the plantation shutters give you the flexibility to increase or reduce the light on those sunny days and light evenings during the summer in Canterbury. With ample storage space the room includes a combination safe, hair dryer, Nespresso Coffee maker, kettle and fridge along with complimentary tea, coffee, chocolate and biscuits. The shower room is equipped with a variety of toiletries we try to think of everything!
Single Room
Our single room is one of the most popular of our rooms at Harriet House. Comfortable and cosy with ample storage space, it’s a great space to rest after a busy day in Canterbury. Everyone should have the little luxuries in life so we have included a TV, combination safe, hairdryer, Nespresso Coffee maker, kettle and fridge along with complimentary tea, coffee, chocolate and biscuits. Cosy Double Room
Situated on the second floor our Cosy Double room is just that; cute and cosy! A spacious loft room with a sloping ceiling at one end, it has a special charm. Guests under 6ft (1.8 metres) tall love this room. Tastefully decorated with plantation shutters the room has ample storage space. Fully equipped with a 32” smart TV, combination safe, hairdryer, a Nespresso Coffee maker, kettle and fridge along with complimentary tea, coffee, chocolate and biscuits. The shower room is equipped with a variety of toiletries we try to think of everything!
Superior King Size Room - Peacock
Our Superior rooms, tastefully decorated with Super King Size beds and spacious bathrooms are a real hit with our guests, many of whom return time after time for a great night in Canterbury. They love the space and light, enhanced by the Plantation Shutters, the amazingly comfortable hotel quality beds it can be a challenge to make them leave!
